I can't say enough good things about Jackie and her husband Steven. I live in California right now and managing my home in Virginia Beach was becoming too much for me. I hired them first to manage the property and then to sell it. They were incredible managing the home. My last tenants left it a disaster and they were able to get me great deals on all the repair work so the house looked great again and they got it rented quickly. Then when it came time to sell they were once again incredible. Jackie got the house under contract after it had been listed for just 24 days. Then she was able to negotiate several surprise issues with the buyer and got me clear of the house with some cash in my pocket. I was pretty convinced this house would bankrupt and/or drive me insane and I am certain the Dunbar's are the reason it didn't. Steve and Jackie Dunbar make a great team! They took care of our house as a rental property. We do not live in the area and we felt at ease with them as the property management company. When we decided to sell the house as our tenant was moving out they got it market ready. Jackie accommodated our budget while getting the house more marketable. She lined up all the workers so we had no hassle. The house was on the market and under contract very quickly. They are in the business of selling houses and they do it well!
The Ellis-Dunbar team is awesome. Having used them as property managers since 2008, I have yet to go a single month without a tenant, a testament to their drive and understanding in the importance of keeping a unit filled. When repairs are required, their staff (who is also awesome) notifies my promptly and gets the work done as soon as possible. I'm very happy with Steve and Jackie as my property managers and would recommend them anytime.
